What is usually called a “guided tour” becomes an authentic experience when you visit Maurizio and his daughter Elisa in Montalcino. You enter their home and you live their life for a few hours, surrounded by nature and its rhythms, perfumes and colors, the beauty of the cellar, the elegance of the vineyards rows and finally, the celebration of all these: the Brunello di Montalcino.

Grandmother Tornesi will guide you through the vegetable garden and teach you how to recognize and pick flowers and fruits; with Maurizio and Elisa you will have a real farm experience that, in this corner of Tuscany, is not a romantic reenactment but rather daily life. If you want to see how the Tornesi’s Brunello is produced and aged, a visit to the cellar is a must. You will have the chance to see the barrels that have kept the Tornesi’s 2012 Brunello and the 2015 Rosso di Montalcino, two years in which the hot season has sharpened the ripe fruit notes; or the 2013 Brunello and the 2016 Rosso di Montalcino, two more classic and fresh years, that has characterized the wines with violet, fresh fruit and spices’ notes. The vineyards located at 300 meters above sea level are the Tornesi’s peculiarity: this gives well-balanced grapes even in the fresher years; in the warmer years instead, the vineyards located at 570 meters above sea level are favored.
